  1. Hello,

    My name is Teddy McCullough and I am a recent graduate from American University in Washington, D.C but I come from the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians. I currently hold a full time fellowship at The Center for Native American Youth, but I would love to join your team of young Native writers at Natives in America. I have a couple ideas for some of the things that I might write about. These include:
    -My experiences at a University with very few other Native students and the experiences I had with non-native students who had very stereotypical views of Indian Country;
    -Commentary on current events, policy, and legislation from a Native youth perspective;
    -My experience in my own community working on language revitalization efforts for the Northern Pomo language. and recognizing Dr. Catherine O’Connor who really made it possible to turn our Native language from an aspect of our culture that we thought was extinct, to making it accessible to all who are interested in learning it; and/or
    •Reflections on entering post-graduate life.

    I would love to join your team as I love reading the work that the other Natives post. Please let me know if these are some good ideas for items to be placed on the Natives in America site and if you have any suggestions. I’m also happy to share drafts of articles I’ve written in the past for other mediums and articles that are currently in progress. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

    Best,
    Teddy McCullough
